Zo meteen: de CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix, presented by Audi (1m60)

Vandaag staat alles in het teken van het absolute hoogtepunt van de Brussels Stephex Masters: de CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix, presented by Audi. De spanning stijgt terwijl ’s werelds beste ruiters zich klaarmaken voor de strijd in de arena, met prestige, geschiedenis en een plaats tussen de legendes op het spel.

Equestrian analyst Frederik De Backer nam de volledige startlijst onder de loep en combineerde zijn expertise met data en statistieken. Zijn voorspellingen zaten deze week opvallend dicht bij de realiteit, waardoor we er gerust van uit mogen gaan dat de winnaar uit zijn lijst komt. De grote favorieten volgens Frederik: Gilles Thomas met Ermitage Kalone, Scott Brash met Hello Chadora Lady, Ben Maher met Point Break, Nadja Peter Steiner met Mila en Gregory Wathelet met Bond Jamesbond de Hay. Stuk voor stuk ruiters met de ervaring, het paard en de vorm om één van de meest begeerde titels in de sport te grijpen.

Toch staat de CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix, presented by Audi, altijd garant voor verrassingen. Ook de lijst met outsiders oogt indrukwekkend: Emilie Conter (Portobella van de Fruitkorf), Cian O’Connor (Iron Man), Nina Mallevaey (Dynastie de Beaufour), Jeanne Sadran (Dexter de Kerglenn) en Gerrit Nieberg (Ping Pong van de Lentamel) kunnen zomaar de verwachtingen overhoop gooien.

Voor het thuispubliek is de spanning groter dan ooit. De Belgische fans mogen hopen op een uitzonderlijk sterke ploeg nationale helden: Thibeau Spits (Impress-K Van ’t Kattenheye Z), Zoé Conter (H5 Chaccophanie), Jérôme Guery (Great Britain V), Gregory Wathelet (Bond Jamesbond de Hay), Pieter Devos (Primo DV), Niels Bruynseels (Origi Vd Vosberg), Jos Verlooy (Parise van den Dael), Gilles Thomas (Ermitage Kalone), Emilie Conter (Portobella van de Fruitkorf) en Olivier Philippaerts (H&M Miro).

De CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix, presented by Audi, belooft niet alleen sportieve klasse, maar ook een unieke sfeer in het hart van de Brussels Stephex Masters. Alles staat klaar voor een namiddag vol spanning en spektakel.
