Friday evening at the Brussels Stephex Masters was not only about five-star sport. Once the competition came to an end, attention turned to the next generation as ten carefully selected foals entered the spotlight for the 2026 Stephex Exclusive Breeding Collection auction.
With a lively crowd around the auction ring and plenty of bidding throughout the evening, the auction developed into an exciting showcase of some of the most sought-after pedigrees in the collection. All ten foals found new owners, achieving an impressive average price of 76.100 EUR. Two foals crossed the 120.000 EUR mark, making it a strong and successful evening from start to finish.
Casamigos and Crazy In Love emerge as auction highlights
The two clear auction toppers of the evening were Casamigos Pommex Z and Crazy In Love Pommex Z, both selling for more than 120.000 EUR.
Casamigos Pommex Z, a colt by Cornet Obolensky out of Jasmien vd Bisschop, combines two names that need little introduction. Cornet Obolensky has left a lasting mark on international showjumping breeding, while Jasmien vd Bisschop herself competed successfully at five-star level with Daniel Deusser.
Crazy In Love Pommex Z, a filly by Casallco out of Jeunesse van’t Paradijs, also attracted strong interest. Her dam, by Emerald van’t Ruytershof, brings another proven international sport line into the pedigree.
Proven sport lines at the heart of the collection
The strength of the evening was not limited to its two auction toppers. The ten-lot collection combined some of the most influential sires in modern breeding, including Cornet Obolensky, Casallco, Hardrock Z, Baltic VDL, Vagabond de la Pomme, Mosito van het Hellehof and Cascadello I, with dam lines that have already proven themselves in international sport.
Names such as Jasmien vd Bisschop, Jeunesse van’t Paradijs, Soory de l’Hallali, Fragile van’t Paradijs, Pironella and Catokia 2 formed the foundation of a collection built around one clear idea: breeding the next generation from families that have already shown what they can do at the highest level.
For ten young talents, Friday evening in Brussels marked the beginning of a new chapter and another successful edition of the Stephex Exclusive Breeding Collection auction.
