Darragh Kenny not to catch in the Top Series Grand Prix Qualifier

On Thursday he won the CSI5* 1.45m, today he blew the competition away in the Top Series CSI3* 1.45m Bang & Olufsen Prize: Darragh Kenny is on flying form at Knokke Hippique.

With no less than nineteen riders moving on to the jump-off in this world ranking class, it was going to be a fast affair. Known as one of the fastest and smoothest riders in the world, Kenny had no problem delivering what was required to win however – leaving a second down to his closest competitor. Stopping the clock at 38.84 seconds with Sweet Tricia (Berlin x Tampa), Kenny beat Great Britain’s Amanda Derbyshire and Cornwall BH (Con Air x Cambridge) who finished as runners-up ahead of France’s Penelope Leprevost and Varennes du Breuil (Jarnac x Fetiche du Pas) in third.

In the Top Series 1.35m Dietz Prize it was a Mexican duo that took first and second. Jamie Azcarraga and Verdinale (Verdi TN x Drosselklang II) won the class ahead of Gonzalo Azcarraga on Haiti Z (Henry Z x Tis Voltaire). Two Belgian girls followed in third and fourth: Leonie Peeters on Catho (Millar x Voltaire) and Emilie Conter on Ultrachich de Charmois (Quincy / Quaprice x Cabdula du Tillard).
