From the 19th of June to the 14th of July, Knokke Hippique will welcome some of the world’s very best riders to the 5th edition of this unique summer sporting experience.
After warming up with a week of CSI3* Top Series, CSI2* Super Cup, CSI1* Prestige League and CSIYH Future Stars during 19th-23rd of June, the action continues from 27th-30th of June with the CSI5* riders taking the center stage for the weekend.
With the CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix on Sunday the 30th of June worth € 500.000, the stars of showjumping will bring their best horses to try to claim the title in one of the most prestigious competitions of the summer season.
Scott Brash (GBR), historical as the only rider to have won the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping title back in 2015, is ready for Knokke Hippique, as are big names such as reigning European Champion Peder Fredricson (SWE), reigning World Champion Simone Blum (GER), 2014 World Cup Champion Daniel Deusser (GER), as well as 2011 World Cup Champion Christian Ahlmann (GER). The home crowds will have plenty to cheer for, with last year’s Rolex Grand Prix winner Niels Bruynseels (BEL) returning to Knokke Hippique together with Belgium’s biggest stars such as Pieter Devos, Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts, Gregory Wathelet, Gudrun Patteet, Zoe Conter, Jérôme Guery and Jos Verlooy. The Belgian riders have won three out of four Rolex Grand Prix competitions at Knokke Hippique, will they be able to do it again?
At cycling distance from the beach and the famous Lippenslaan, you can watch the stars of showjumping in action throughout the four weeks of Knokke Hippique. Besides top sport, Knokke Hippique also offers competitors, guest and spectators gastronomic experiences, a lifestyle village, a whole array of entertainment and performances with international artists as well as DJs and after-parties at the Stephex Club.
