The climax of the 3* competition was much more than a wonderful warm-up for the Rolex Grand Prix. The jump-off, in which 11 combinations started, had a lot of twists and turns that were received with loud cheers from the audience.
Simon Delestre (Iniesta V), the winner of yesterday’s 5* class was the first to go clear. He remained in the number one position almost until the end of the jump-off, but then his fellow Frenchman Kevin Staut (Dialou Blue PS) cleared the course only one hundredth of a second faster. Last to go: Daniel Deusser and Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z. The Zangersheide stallion is strong and fast. This afternoon he proved that once again. The combination raced over the grass at a furious pace and took home the CSI 3* Grand Prix with no less than a full second on Staut.
